Position Overview:

The HSE Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across various departments. Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with safety services to create risk assessments for new facilities in partnership with external assessment firms.
  • Working alongside Process Engineering and other teams to oversee the installation of new laboratory and prototype equipment.
  • Establishing initial HSE protocols by formulating policies, key performance indicators, and standards.
  • Designing strategies for waste management, reduction initiatives, and environmental procedures.
  • Monitoring adherence to legal requirements and maintaining relationships with local regulatory bodies.

The HSE Specialist is expected to engage collaboratively with various teams and foster strong relationships within the R&D department.

Candidate Profile:

Candidates should demonstrate a proactive attitude, adaptability, and a willingness to engage in intensive interdisciplinary collaboration, transitioning from a startup environment to a more structured mid-sized organization.

We will evaluate candidates based on the following criteria:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Master's Degree in Health & Safety.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in the Chemical and/or Automotive sectors.
  • Strong understanding of ATEX regulations, CE marking, chemical handling, ISO/TS 16949, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001.
  • A high level of readiness to work with enthusiasm and creativity in an interdisciplinary and international setting.
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is essential; knowledge of Spanish and other European languages is advantageous.
