We are seeking a highly skilled HSE Specialist to join our team at Basquevolt, a leading company in the development of next-generation solid-state lithium batteries. As an HSE Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental well-being of our employees, customers, and the wider community.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective risk assessments and mitigation strategies for new facilities and equipment.
- Collaborate with Process Engineering and other departments to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Establish and maintain HSE policies, KPIs, and standards that align with industry best practices.
- Develop and implement waste reduction plans and environmental procedures that minimize our environmental footprint.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and engage with local authorities as required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Industrial Engineering, or a relevant field.
- Master's Degree in Health & Safety or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in the Chemical and/or Automotive industry, with a focus on HSE.
- Strong knowledge of ATEX regulation, CE mark, chemical products handling, ISO/TS 16949, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in an international and interdisciplinary environment.
- Fluency in English (both oral and written), with Spanish and other European languages a plus.
