As an Underwriting Assistant at QBE Insurance Group, you will play a crucial role in supporting our underwriting team to deliver exceptional service to our customers. Your primary responsibility will be to provide technical and administrative support to ensure efficient and effective underwriting processes.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the development and maintenance of underwriting standards and good practices to minimize risk and maximize efficiency.
- Contribute to the recording and measurement of insurance risks to ensure accuracy and adherence to relevant performance standards.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including colleagues, customers, and brokers.
- Prepare and maintain accurate underwriting data on systems to minimize risk and ensure high-quality output of information.
- Support the production of management information statistics and reports to inform business planning and decision-making.
- Collaborate with colleagues to deliver superior service standards and contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Previous experience in an underwriting assistant role or similar position.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work to deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on building effective relationships.
- Commercial awareness and understanding of the insurance industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Access.
- Flexible approach with the ability to adapt to changing business requirements.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
