**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Insurance Underwriting Assistant to join our team at QBE Insurance Group. As an Underwriting Assistant, you will provide technical and administrative support to our underwriting team, ensuring the efficient and effective processing of insurance risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the underwriting team, including data entry, document preparation, and record-keeping.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of underwriting standards and good practices to minimize risk and maximize efficiency.
- Contribute to the recording and measurement of insurance risks to ensure accuracy and adherence to relevant performance standards.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure collaborative and effective working practices.
- Ensure accurate underwriting data is captured on systems to minimize risk and ensure high-quality output of information.
- Prepare documents and reports to support the team in the business planning process.
- Support underwriting through general administration to ensure delivery of a professional service.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in an underwriting assistant role.
- Good organization skills with the ability to work to deadlines.
- A team player with great communication skills.
- Commercially aware.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
- Flexible approach and ability to adapt to changing business requirements.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
