We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Underwriting Assistant to join our team at Everest Re Group, Ltd. in Madrid, Spain. As an Underwriting Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting our underwriters in the management of new and existing classes of business.
Key Responsibilities- Support underwriters in the preparation of risk assessments, policy documentation, and other underwriting-related tasks.
- Ensure accurate and timely entry of underwriting data into our systems, including risk information, quotes, and transactions.
- Perform data checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of underwriting data.
- Store risk information and correspondence in a secure and accessible manner.
- Assist underwriters in the production of management information, business development, and marketing.
- Provide administrative support to underwriters and the Operations team.
- Strong relevant experience in an underwriting support role.
- Knowledge of property and casualty insurance, including underwriting, claims, and facultative reinsurance processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication and language skills, including proficiency in English and Spanish.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
