About the Role

**Mission and Responsibilities**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Development Lead to join our team at Wedge Global. As a key member of our Ocean Energy business unit, you will be responsible for leading key areas of go-to-market planning and implementation, including service or project design. You will work closely with our Chief Innovation Officer and leadership team to drive business growth and commercialization.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for our ocean energy technology
  • Lead market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement commercialization plans
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and industry experts
  • Support the development of business cases and proposals to secure funding and investments

**Requirements**

  • Master's degree in entrepreneurship, innovation, systems management, or an MBA specializing in strategic management, marketing, or entrepreneurship
  • Excellent written and verbal competency in English and Spanish
  • General experience with offshore wind procurement and/or tender bidding procedures
  • Ability to effectively communicate our technology-led value proposition to a wide range of experts, stakeholders, and decision makers
  • Minimum 5-year track record in business development work

**Nice to Have**

  • Business development experience in the offshore wind sector
  • Business development experience in the tech-based ocean observation space
  • Advanced experience in sustainability and/or nature-related permitting requirements for offshore projects
  • Advanced experience with Development Consent Orders and/or European licensing processes for offshore infrastructure projects
