Kyoto Group AS is a pioneering company in the renewable energy sector, dedicated to making green energy accessible to everyone. Our innovative Heatcube technology has the potential to revolutionize the delivery of renewable energy, and we are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Manager to spearhead our business development and commercialization efforts in Spain.

About the Role:

The Commercial Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping and advancing Kyoto Group AS's presence in Spain, working closely with the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and the Commercial Director of Iberia. This dynamic role requires occasional travel to meet customers, prospects, and other stakeholders, and involves:

  1. Identifying Key Players and Decision-Makers: Research and identify key players and decision-makers within relevant industries and targeted accounts.
  2. Generating Interest and Demand: Develop and execute strategies to generate interest and demand for Kyoto Group AS's innovative Heatcube in the specified industries.
  3. Establishing a Robust Pipeline: Establish a robust pipeline of commercial opportunities for Heatcube, working closely with the sales and marketing teams.
  4. Building Customer Relationships: Build and nurture customer relationships with targeted accounts, ensuring strong partnerships and repeat business.
  5. Participating in RFQs: Ensure Kyoto Group AS's participation in all relevant Request for Quotations (RFQs), preparing and submitting high-quality bids and offers in a timely manner.
  6. Providing Industry Insights: Provide valuable industry insights to Kyoto Group AS's product development team, informing the development of new products and services.
  7. Market Insights and Strategic Discussions: Actively participate and contribute market insights in strategic discussions within the commercial team, driving business growth and expansion.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Relevant Experience: Relevant experience in business development and commercial roles, focusing on solution sales, preferably in the energy or manufacturing sectors.
  2. Strategic Mindset: A strategic mindset with the ability to execute initiatives effectively, driving business growth and expansion.
  3. Customer Focus: A 'can do' attitude, customer focus, and self-management skills, with excellent presentation skills and storytelling capabilities.
  4. Education and Experience: A university/college degree in commercial and/or relevant technical fields, with 5+ years of experience in similar roles such as Sales or Bid Manager.
  5. Industry Knowledge: Experience in the energy sector and/or heat-intensive industry, with proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  6. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, commercial instinct, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
