Executive Chef Assistant

As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen. This includes requisitioning food orders, managing inventory, and maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
Key Accountabilities:
• Requisition food orders from the store room and daily market list
• Ensure guests receive exceptional service, meeting Novotel standards
• Manage food product-related costs and maintain financial control
• Assist in planning menus, incorporating innovative and creative ideas with current market trends
• Prepare cold and hot dishes, desserts, and other foods to meet quality and presentation standards
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area, adhering to company procedures and specifications
• Attend kitchen meetings and training sessions as required
• Perform other duties as assigned by management, within your capabilities
Personnel and Occupational Health & Safety:
• Establish positive relationships with colleagues at all levels
• Safeguard your health and safety, as well as that of others, in the workplace
• Be prepared to take on any job assigned by management, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability
Additional Requirements:
• Maintain a high level of personal hygiene and grooming
• Report any needed maintenance to the Executive Sous Chef/Engineering
