Role Overview: The European Transportation team at Amazon is tasked with ensuring seamless connectivity within our transportation network across Europe, facilitating the delivery of billions of packages annually.

We engage with various internal teams, including Transportation Design, Supply Chain, and Technology, to guarantee prompt and dependable delivery for our customers.

We are currently seeking a Functional Analyst for Transportation Network Configuration within our Quality and Analytics division. This role offers a unique opportunity to demonstrate your technical expertise, practical skills, and leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the configuration of Amazon's transportation network, ensuring compliance with established standards.
  • Collaborate with Transportation teams, Product Managers, and Software Development Engineers to design, enhance, and streamline processes, thereby improving the purchasing experience for Amazon customers.
  • Address issues affecting the network by implementing immediate solutions and developing long-term strategies for resolution.
  • Evaluate the potential impact of disruptions within the system and create preventive measures or expedited resolution strategies.
  • Identify and document necessary system enhancements aimed at improving customer experience.
  • Work closely with technical teams to drive improvements in systems and processes.
  • Engage with operational stakeholders to align expectations and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Document quality engineering processes, workflows, and best practices to foster knowledge sharing and maintain a comprehensive knowledge base.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operational challenges, conduct thorough root cause analyses, and respond to enhancement suggestions.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation, providing support to operations teams, which may require after-hours assistance as per the team's coverage plan.

A Day in the Life: This position encompasses both tactical and strategic responsibilities, allowing you to lead complex programs.

You will work closely with stakeholders across various organizations to address system and network challenges with both immediate and long-term solutions.

In collaboration with your team and internal partners, you will innovate and implement system and process enhancements that deliver new business value, elevate customer experience, and boost team productivity, speed, and quality.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proven track record of effective teamwork.
  • Analytical mindset with a natural inclination to utilize data for decision-making and prioritization.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects while delivering timely and accurate outcomes.
  • Background in Program or Project Management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Engineering, Transportation, or a related technical field.
  • Experience in Supply Chain management.
  • Familiarity with Amazon's logistics network.
  • Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Experience in continuous improvement processes.
