About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Operations Analyst to join our Central Operations team at Amazon Logistics. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in driving improvement in processes and technology used within the operational team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format.
  • Partner with other analysts and BI engineers in planning and analytics to build analytical solutions to deliver on business goals.
  • Propose and implement business metrics for senior management reviews and work with business intelligence and data engineers to design and develop data infrastructure to support business growth.
  • Help define and drive the technology road-map.
  • Perform deep-dives to find the root causes behind variances of key parameters over a given time-period.
  • Harness data to create business requirements documents and guide actionable technology.
About the Team

Amazon Logistics, or AMZL, handles 'last mile' delivery duties in partnership with third-party distribution businesses. We utilise creative thinking and continuous improvement initiatives to get millions of physical products into the hands of our customers. Our goal is to make our customers' delivery experience as smooth as possible and roll out global delivery solutions.

Requirements
  • A degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, Operations Research, Mathematics or other business/analytical disciplines or equivalent.
  • Relevant experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or related.
  • Proficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL), Microsoft Excel, and statistical analysis tools.
  • Relevant experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including your peers and leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree.
  • Relevant experience using business intelligence reporting tools (Tableau, Quicksight, Looker, MicroStrategy, SSAS Cubes, etc.).
  • Experience in working with Redshift.
  • Previous experience in creating detailed Business Requirement Documentation.
  • Java/REACT/python.
