About the Role

The Central Operations Area Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless interactions between Amazon Delivery Stations, third-party companies, and CO Operators, driving operational objectives and excellence.

This Area Manager role requires the ability to make informed, independent decisions for short-term objectives and limited supervision for medium- to long-term goals, impacting EU AMZL capacity management and 24HR, 48HR, and Same Day (SD) Out For Delivery (OFD) WAPE.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communication and Collaboration: Develop and maintain strong communication processes to ensure smooth and efficient flow of accurate information across Amazon teams, providing visibility on actions and reasoning to earn trust from stakeholders.
  • Business Growth and Optimization: Scale services, tools, and processes to enable business growth in CO footprint, complexity, and geographic dispersion while maintaining a high bar for the customer experience.
  • Supply Chain Alignment: Work closely with the Supply Chain team in areas including Sales and Operations Planning, DSPM, and Ops leadership to align and execute the strategy at DS and country level.
  • Process Improvement and Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks, drive resolution of critical issues, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, proposing corrective actions to keep initiatives moving forward.
  • Performance Metrics and Reporting: Maintain and report up-to-date and accurate KPIs, management reports, and analysis (DBR/WBR/Intraweek reports).
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, Science, or related fields.
  • Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Problem-solving skills and the ability to quantitatively analyze challenges, scope technical requirements, and effectively prioritize program deliverables.
  • Language and Communication: Fluent English (written and verbal communication).
  • Experience and Skills: Experience with performance metrics and process improvement, with demonstrable problem-solving and analytical skills, and advanced working knowledge of Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Logistics Operations Knowledge: Understanding of Logistics operations is a plus.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven track record leading teams of 10+ people.
  • Logical Thinking and Analytical Skills: Strong logical thinking, analytical skills, and problem-solving skills.
  • Programming and Coding Experience: Working experience on programming and coding languages (SQL or Python).
