Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate informed decision-making by gathering and synthesizing data from various sources into a clear and actionable format.
  • Collaborate with fellow analysts and BI engineers in planning and analytics to develop analytical solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Design and implement business metrics for senior management evaluations and partner with business intelligence and data engineers to create data infrastructure that supports growth.
  • Contribute to defining and advancing the technology roadmap.
  • Conduct in-depth analyses to identify root causes of variances in key performance indicators over specified timeframes.
  • Utilize data to formulate business requirements documents and guide actionable technology initiatives.

As an Analyst within Central Operations, you will oversee a broad scope that includes not only enhancing established key performance indicators but also spearheading strategic initiatives across the organization.

The ideal candidate will possess the ability to visualize the implications of challenges and initiatives, considering both short-term impacts and long-term organizational effects.

  • How can we collaborate with various functions to enhance on-road efficiency while ensuring Delivery Service Partner (DSP) engagement?
  • What does the technology roadmap entail for the upcoming 18-24 months? We must prepare for future needs, not just current demands.
  • How can we assist our external stakeholders in improving their data points, KPIs, and processes to enhance performance?
  • In light of AMZL's anticipated growth, how can Central Operations collaborate to enhance initiative management and implementation?

About the Team
Amazon Logistics, or AMZL, manages last mile delivery operations in collaboration with third-party distribution partners. We leverage innovative thinking and continuous improvement strategies to deliver millions of products to our customers.

Our objective is to streamline our customers' delivery experiences and implement global delivery solutions.

Basic Qualifications

  • A degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, Operations Research, Mathematics, or related analytical disciplines.
  • Relevant experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Microsoft Excel, and statistical analysis tools.
  • Experience in communicating effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including peers and leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree.
  • Experience with business intelligence reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Quicksight, Looker, MicroStrategy, SSAS Cubes).
  • Familiarity with Redshift.
  • Prior experience in developing comprehensive Business Requirement Documentation.
  • Knowledge of Java, REACT, or Python.
