About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join our Central Operations team at Amazon Logistics. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in driving improvement in processes and technology used within the operational team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format.
  • Partner with other analysts and BI engineers in planning and analytics to build analytical solutions to deliver on business goals.
  • Propose and implement business metrics for senior management reviews and work with business intelligence and data engineers to design and develop data infrastructure to support business growth.
  • Help define and drive the technology roadmap.
  • Perform deep dives to find the root causes behind variances of key parameters over a given time period.
  • Harness data to create business requirements documents and guide actionable technology.
About the Team

Amazon Logistics, or AMZL, handles 'last mile' delivery duties in partnership with third-party distribution businesses. We utilise creative thinking and continuous improvement initiatives to get millions of physical products into the hands of our customers.

Requirements
  • A degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, Operations Research, Mathematics or other business/analytical disciplines or equivalent.
  • Relevant experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or related.
  • Proficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL), Microsoft Excel, and statistical analysis tools.
  • Relevant experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including your peers and leadership
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree
  • Relevant experience using business intelligence reporting tools (Tableau, Quicksight, Looker, MicroStrategy, SSAS Cubes, etc.)
  • Experience in working with Redshift
  • Previous experience in creating detailed Business Requirement Documentation
  • Java/REACT/python
