The European Transportation division at Amazon is accountable for ensuring seamless connectivity within our transportation network across Europe, facilitating the delivery of billions of packages annually.

We work in conjunction with various internal teams (such as Transportation Design, Supply Chain, External Fulfillment, and Technology) to guarantee prompt and dependable delivery for our customers.

In the realm of Transportation Network Configuration Quality and Analytics, we are seeking a TNC Functional Specialist.

As an integral member of our team, you will have the chance to demonstrate your technical expertise, practical skills, and leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Amazon's network configuration, ensuring compliance with established standards.
  • Collaborate with our Transportation teams, Product Managers, and Software Development Engineers to design, enhance, and optimize processes that improve the purchasing experience for Amazon customers.
  • Address issues affecting the network by providing immediate solutions and developing long-term strategies to resolve them effectively.
  • Evaluate the potential impact of disruptions within the system while creating mechanisms for prevention or expedited resolution.
  • Identify and document necessary system enhancements aimed at elevating customer experience.
  • Engage with technical teams to drive improvements in systems and processes.
  • Liaise with operational stakeholders to align expectations and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Document quality engineering processes, workflows, and best practices to promote knowledge sharing and maintain a comprehensive knowledge base.
  • Investigate and resolve operational challenges, conduct thorough root cause analyses, and respond to enhancement suggestions.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation, providing support to operations teams, which may require occasional after-hours assistance as per the team's on-call schedule.
A Day in the Life:
This role encompasses both tactical and strategic responsibilities, requiring you to lead ambiguous initiatives.


You will collaborate daily with stakeholders across various organizations to address system and network challenges with both immediate and long-term solutions.

By working closely with your team and internal partners, you will innovate and implement system and process enhancements that deliver new business value, enhance customer experience, and boost team productivity, speed, and quality.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong stakeholder management abilities.
  • Solid SQL proficiency.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Demonstrated analytical thinking with a natural inclination to utilize data for decision-making and prioritization.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects while delivering timely and accurate results.
  • Background in Program/Project management.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Engineering, Transportation, or a related technical field.
  • Experience in Supply Chain management.
  • Knowledge of Python and prior experience in Quality Assurance.
  • Familiarity with Amazon's logistics network.
  • Experience with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Background in continuous improvement processes.
