Job Description

Job Title: Hotel Account Manager

Job Summary:

Lastminute Group is seeking a highly organized and analytical Hotel Account Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Hotel Partnerships department, you will be responsible for managing hotel portfolios in designated areas, driving merchant hotel bookings, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve targets.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage all elements of ongoing account management activity, including improving existing relationships with hotel partners.
  • Secure and negotiate competitive distribution pricing to meet merchant room night targets.
  • Secure and negotiate room availability via fixed allocation or other means to meet room nights targets.
  • Secure and negotiate competitive promotions for specific rate types.
  • Develop and implement plans to meet market demand and company goals.
  • Set and decide global display preferencing for defined markets.
  • Coordinate hotel merchandising and promotion requests for defined markets.
  • Responsible for rate performance and compliance tracking, using business intelligence data to track rate competitiveness and compliance for top markets.
  • Identify promotional opportunities within designated areas, both destination and supplier-led.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues, such as hotel display, descriptive content, and hotel general support.
  • Provide timely feedback regarding market trends and product needs.

Requirements:

  • Education in Travel, Tourism, or related areas is a must.
  • Further or tertiary education is considered.
  • Highly organized and analytical.
  • Clear understanding of Channel Managers solution and hotel CRS/PMS and GDS systems desirable.
  • Good understanding of extranet systems as a user.
  • GSuite applications knowledge.
  • MS Office, in particular, advanced Excel skills and PowerPoint.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • High level in Spanish.
  • Fluency in other European languages.
  • At least 5 years' experience in Online Travel, Tour Operator, Bed bank or DMC companies, Incoming Travel Agencies, Yield/Revenue management companies, or from leisure resort hotels.
  • Sound understanding of hotel industry, revenue management, and yield.
  • Purchasing experience (secured/guaranteed room nights, fixed allocations).
