About the Role

KWS SAAT SE is seeking a highly skilled Product Development Manager to join our team in the Murcia Region, Spain.

This is a full-time and permanent role that requires a minimum of a B.S. in Agronomy or Horticulture and 3+ years of experience in the vegetable seed industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop new assortment for Product Market Combinations on local and country levels
  • Implement Crop/PMC Trial plans in line with global crop trial plans
  • Collaborate with local crop teams to provide input on crop strategies and market-customer intelligence
  • Support the development and maintenance of product profiles
  • Provide guidance on introduction strategies and ensure the implementation of trial calendars
Additional Responsibilities
  • Align with breeders and sales teams to propose priorities and focus areas for product profiles
  • Provide input to breeding direction and breeding selections
  • Conduct market and competitor intelligence to understand trends and drivers
  • Identify unique selling points of new commercial varieties versus competitors and existing portfolios
  • Define growing protocols and growing concepts before commercial launching
  • Implement and support the use of tools like Mercado
  • Lead Trial Development Specialists and have multi-crop and cross-country responsibilities

Your Profile
  • Fluent English in word and writing, additional language(s) are an advantage
  • Ability to think and act at different levels, prepared to put 'boots on the ground'
  • Analytical and Result Oriented 'we make it happen' mentality
