Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Development Manager to join our team in Murcia Region, Spain. As a Product Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing new product assortments for our Product Market Combinations (PMCs) on local and country levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop New Product Assortments
    • Design and implement local trial plans in line with our global crop trial plan
    • Collect and analyze data to inform product development decisions
    • Collaborate with breeding and sales teams to develop product profiles
  • Implement Crop/PMC Trial Plan
    • Align with breeder and sales teams on product profiles per PMC
    • Propose priorities and focus areas for product development
  • Support Product Development and Maintenance
    • Advise on and support introduction strategies for new products
    • Ensure implementation and alignment of trial calendars
  • Market and Competitor Intelligence
    • Collect and analyze market and competitor data to inform product development decisions
    • Identify unique selling points of new commercial varieties
  • Define Growing Protocols and Concepts
    • Develop growing protocols and concepts for new products
    • Implement and support the use of tools like Mercado

Requirements

  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Agronomy or Horticulture
  • Experience
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in the vegetable seed industry
  • Skills
    • Fluent English language skills
    • Additional language skills are an advantage
    • Ability to think and act at different levels
    • Analytical and result-oriented mindset
