Sales and Business Development Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sales and Business Development Engineer to join our team at Weir. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and developing strategic relationships with our customers in the mining industry.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional technical support to customers, ensuring their needs are met with precision and care.
- Analyse specifications and utilise simulation software to select the most suitable equipment for customer applications.
- Assist in the preparation of detailed and competitive Original Equipment quotations and bids.
- Oversee order fulfilment requirements to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
- Travel to key accounts to identify and develop new business opportunities.
- Support aftermarket sales through site visits and collaboration with other departments.
- Conduct engaging product presentations and training sessions to educate clients.
- Cultivate a deep understanding of Weir's products and services.
- Represent Weir Minerals at industry exhibitions and trade shows to showcase our offerings.
- Demonstrate unwavering commitment to our zero harm behaviors, contributing to the development of a world-class safety culture.
- Bachelor's degree in Mining, Industrial, Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Proven experience in the mining industry, particularly in customer-facing roles.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Willingness to travel extensively, up to 60% of the time.
