About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Pastry Sous Chef to join our pre-opening team at SLS Barcelona, a luxury urban resort. As a key member of our culinary team, you will support the Executive Pastry Chef in leading our all-day dining business, offering breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and other dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Executive Pastry Chef in leading the Pastry kitchen team and ensuring the highest standards of quality and creativity in our pastry products.
  • Work closely with the Executive Pastry Chef to develop and implement new menu ideas and recipes.
  • Assist in the management of inventory, ordering, and stock control to ensure efficient operation of the Pastry kitchen.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure seamless service and high-quality food presentation.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to strict food safety and hygiene standards.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience as a Pastry Sous Chef in a luxury hotel or restaurant environment.
  • Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
  • Passion for pastry and a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and guests.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
