FX Dealer Role
Location: Ebury Madrid - Office-based 4 days a week with 1 day of flexible remote work
We are seeking an FX Dealer for our Madrid office, who possesses proven trading experience and outstanding sales capabilities.
Our Dealers are essential to our success. They provide expert and tailored advice to our clients, assisting them in realizing their international business aspirations while offering strategies to mitigate foreign exchange risks. They are responsible for planning, structuring, and executing trades, ensuring our clients receive optimal value while driving Ebury's growth.
The most successful Dealers often advance to leadership roles, mentoring and training new team members to ensure they are inspired, motivated, and effective in their positions.
In this role, you will play a vital part in Ebury's expansion, focusing on promoting our services through independent research and targeted campaigns aimed at international businesses in the local market.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a portfolio of corporate clients across various products, including FX hedging, lending, and cash management. Execute FX transactions (SPOT, FWD, NDF, etc.) with multiple liquidity providers, utilizing various trading platforms, including Bloomberg and Reuters. Collaborate with sales teams to support business development efforts. Understand clients' business contexts, strategies, and industries to deliver optimal solutions. Analyze competitors' strengths and weaknesses to effectively position Ebury's banking solutions. Achieve dealer-specific KPIs, including generating repeat and new business revenues, reducing client turnover, upselling high-margin products, and increasing market share. Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular meetings. Expand existing business and provide insights to technology and product teams. Generate new business through networking with current clients for referrals.Required Qualifications:
Significant experience in Financial Services sales (sales or relationship management role). A network of contacts is advantageous. Experience in a commercial banking environment (or similar) selling to SMEs. Relevant experience in areas such as FX specialization or cash management is also desirable. Understanding of compliance requirements. A background in business or finance is a plus.Desired Skills and Attributes:
Fluent in Spanish with a professional level of English. Demonstrated ability to bring enthusiasm, energy, and motivation to a sales organization. Proven track record of surpassing sales targets and market share objectives. Comfortable with a phone-based sales approach. Excellent communication skills, capable of securing commitment and buy-in. Ability to develop sales strategies and tactics based on customer feedback and market conditions; effectively presents key selling points, features, and benefits while focusing on customer needs. Skilled negotiator, capable of building and leveraging relationships at senior levels. Quick learner, particularly with systems; strong analytical abilities. #LI-HB1
