About the Role

.Monks is in search of a Social Media Strategy Lead, possessing extensive experience in overseeing comprehensive social media initiatives and creative campaigns. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional communication and documentation abilities, pinpoint areas for improvement, establish effective processes, and confidently lead by example. A genuine enthusiasm for social media, a commitment to staying updated on the latest trends (including social, technological, and cultural developments), and a drive for excellence are essential qualities.

This role is integral to a dedicated team managing our most significant client accounts (experience in client-facing roles is essential), collaborating closely with our social media hub to optimize all social media activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategically manage all social media platforms for our automotive partner, enhancing their overall value. This includes content and channel strategy, campaign execution, and any additional digital projects that may arise.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with market clients, ensuring that connections at all levels are nurtured within the team.
  • Guarantee the delivery of high-quality work in a timely and cost-effective manner, focusing on efficient processes across the team. Ensure that final deliverables align with the brief timeline, client strategy, brand objectives, and our quality standards.
  • Responsible for tracking, communicating, and negotiating timelines, budgets, assets, goals, and expectations with stakeholders and various global teams.
  • Look beyond immediate project needs to ensure the long-term stability and growth of client relationships and revenue.
  • Drive growth and investment decisions to meet account revenue and profitability targets.
  • Collaborate with markets to achieve desired profitability on social media efforts.
  • Identify and activate new business opportunities.
  • Build trust and establish positive relationships with clients effectively.
  • Work alongside the Business Lead, Operations Lead, and Delivery Lead to identify challenges and propose solutions.
  • Mentor, manage, and develop a team of direct reports (Project Managers, Community Managers).
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching to maximize success, identify training needs for enhanced performance, set career development goals, and ensure actionable steps are taken.
  • Offer education and training on best practices, social media principles, and industry insights.
  • Participate in the recruitment process for junior team members.
  • Guide the team in setting goals and project timelines, ensuring members are engaged with appropriately challenging projects and opportunities for skill development, contributing to overall team success.

About You

You are a professional well-versed in social media management, with a background in overseeing social media assets. A personable individual with a positive demeanor, you possess the ability to organize and influence both internal and external stakeholders.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proficient in English.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a social media leadership role within the last decade; experience in the automotive sector is advantageous.
  • Comprehensive understanding of marketing principles and programs, particularly in social media and digital marketing, including strategy, content creation, and paid media.
  • Ability to comprehend clients' business challenges and devise strategies to address their needs.
  • Capacity to build and maintain relationships with senior clients, becoming their trusted marketing partner.
  • Awareness of traditional industries and opportunities for transformation.
  • Strong aptitude for identifying new opportunities within existing client relationships and formulating strategies for expansion.
  • Comfortable working across different time zones globally.
  • Familiarity with data, media, and analytics.
  • Leadership qualities that inspire others to collaborate with and support you.
  • Excellent communication skills that ensure clarity and impact in our messaging to client partners.
