About the Role

.Monks is in search of a Social Media Strategist who possesses a wealth of experience in overseeing extensive social media initiatives and creative projects. The ideal candidate will exhibit exceptional communication and documentation capabilities, recognize areas for improvement, establish efficient processes, and lead by example. A genuine enthusiasm for social media, a commitment to staying informed about the latest trends in social, technology, and culture, along with aspirations for excellence, are essential.

This role is integral to a dedicated team serving our largest client accounts, requiring client-facing experience and collaboration with our social media hub to enhance all social initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively manage all social media platforms for our automotive partner, enhancing their value through strategic content and channel management, campaign execution, and other digital projects.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with market clients, ensuring that client interactions at all levels are nurtured within the team.
  • Guarantee the delivery of high-quality work in a timely and cost-effective manner, focusing on efficient processes across the team. Ensure that final deliverables align with the project timeline, client strategy, brand identity, creative objectives, and our quality standards.
  • Oversee the tracking, communication, and negotiation of timelines, budgets, assets, goals, and expectations with stakeholders and various global teams.
  • Look beyond immediate tasks to ensure the long-term stability and growth of client relationships and revenue.
  • Drive growth and investment strategies to meet account revenue and profitability targets.
  • Collaborate with markets to achieve desired profitability on social media efforts.
  • Identify and activate new business opportunities.
  • Build trust and establish positive relationships with clients.
  • Work closely with the Business Lead, Operations Lead, and Delivery Lead to identify challenges and propose solutions.
  • Mentor, manage, and develop a team of direct reports, including Project Managers and Community Managers.
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching to maximize success, identify training needs, set career development goals, and ensure actionable steps are taken.
  • Offer education and training on best practices, social media principles, and industry insights.
  • Participate in the recruitment process for junior team members.
  • Guide the team in establishing goals and project timelines, ensuring that team members are engaged in challenging projects that foster skill development and contribute to overall team success.

About You

You are a social media-savvy professional with experience in managing social media assets. You possess a positive attitude and the ability to organize and influence individuals both within and outside the organization.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proficient in English.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a social media leadership role within the last decade; experience in the automotive sector is advantageous.
  • Comprehensive understanding of marketing principles with a focus on social media and digital marketing, including strategy, content creation, and paid media.
  • Ability to comprehend clients' business challenges and devise strategies to address their needs.
  • Skill in building and maintaining relationships with senior clients, establishing yourself as their trusted marketing partner.
  • Insight into traditional industries and opportunities for transformation.
  • Strong aptitude for identifying new opportunities within existing client relationships and formulating strategies for expansion.
  • Comfortable working across different time zones globally.
  • Proficient with data, media, and analytics.
  • Leadership qualities that inspire others to collaborate with and support you.
  • Excellent communication skills that ensure clarity and impact in messaging to client partners.
