Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Food to lead our Food and Beverage operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the culinary department, ensuring a positive work environment, and driving the implementation of new F&B concepts and projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Food and Beverage operations, including the culinary department, to ensure maximum departmental profit and cost efficiency.
  • Ensure a positive work environment is established and maintained, fostering a culture of excellence and customer satisfaction.
  • Analyze sales mix, food and beverage costings, and pricing on a regular basis to inform business decisions.
  • Participate in marketing and promotional activities for the Food and Beverage division to drive revenue growth.
  • Ensure guest feedback and comments are adequately handled, with a focus on delivering legendary guest experiences.
  • Conduct functions such as interviewing, hiring, employee orientation, performance reviews, coaching, counseling, and dismissal if necessary.
  • Review and analyze market trends globally and locally to stay up-to-date with industry developments.
  • Lead the implementation of new F&B concepts and projects, driving innovation and excellence in our operations.
  • Provide leadership and support for all direct reports and other colleagues in the division, maintaining effective employee relations.
  • Drive the preparation of the annual F&B budget and marketing plan, taking ownership for the F&B Division sections.
  • Prepare the F&B annual Capex plan and manage Capex projects and expenditure.
  • Support the Food Safety program of the food and beverage division.
  • Review inventories and manage accordingly to needs.
  • Manage expenses and payroll according to operational needs.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as Director of Food and Beverage within a luxury hotel brand or 5-star hotel.
  • International experience is a must.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management or relevant field.
  • Advanced C1 knowledge of Spanish (Fluent preferred), English C1 or fluent.
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, including restaurants and bar management, banqueting, room service, culinary, and stewarding.
  • Previous experience in hotels with union presence preferred.
  • Dedicated to delivering legendary guest experiences.
  • Driven, result-oriented with good business acumen and finance knowledge.
  • Strategic agility and ability to make quality decisions.
  • Strong experience in driving marketing and public relation activities in food and beverage.
  • Excellent people management skills.
  • Interpersonal savvy.
  • Displays humility, work values, and integrity.
