As a key member of the Ontex team, the Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for leading the regional field force of agents and account managers, focusing on revenue and strategic growth of the organization. This role requires ensuring the right resources are allocated to each customer group/channel in conjunction with the Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE) manager.
Main Responsibilities and Key Tasks- Resource Allocation: Ensure the right resources are allocated per customer group at the regional level, driving business growth and revenue.
- Sales Excellence: Implement and maintain a sales excellence program, driving sales performance and customer satisfaction.
- Customer Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key regional customers, identifying new business opportunities and driving revenue growth.
- Expense Management: Allocate regional sales expenses effectively, ensuring optimal resource utilization.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as daily visits, visits per customer, prospect conversion rate, and other relevant metrics.
- Team Management: Create a harmonious working environment, train and mentor staff, and motivate team members to perform efficiently.
- Operational Efficiency: Incorporate company procedures and policies into the operation of the business unit, ensuring seamless execution.
- Project Management: Monitor and review project activities, ensuring timely completion within budget.
- Relationship Building: Develop long-term relationships with key stakeholders in major regional customer organizations.
- Reporting and Communication: Report back to management on territory activity and market information, sharing insights with colleagues to support a uniform approach to market.
- Onboarding: Support the induction of new employees to the business, ensuring a smooth transition.
- Team Collaboration: Act as a proactive member of the Ontex management team, fostering cross-functional and international collaboration, and best practice sharing.
Educational Requirements
- A bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field (Business, Economics, etc.) or equivalent experience.
Experience Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in a sales role, with a proven track record of success.
- Direct and indirect people management experience, with a strong ability to motivate and steer teams.
- Understanding of the commercial element of profit and loss (P&L) statements.
- Experience working with distributors and the tender market in Spain.
- Proficiency in English.
