Production Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Coordinator to join our team at Covestro. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling production activities to ensure seamless execution and optimal resource utilization.
Key Responsibilities- Production Scheduling: Create and publish weekly production schedules, taking into account available resources, sequencing rules, and campaign size.
- Obstacle Management: Adjust schedules to manage around obstacles such as material shortages, delivery delays, and capacity constraints, and communicate changes to relevant stakeholders.
- Raw Material Planning: Ensure raw materials are ordered to support production schedules, and collaborate with the Raw Material planner to achieve optimal inventory levels.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Monitor and coordinate with all stakeholders, including design, procurement, and logistics teams, to ensure smooth execution of production plans.
- Inventory Management: Maintain stock levels and keep master data up to date in SAP for finished goods, intermediates, and raw materials.
- Stock Transfers: Arrange stock transfers of finished goods to off-site warehouses.
- Scheduling Parameters: Maintain scheduling parameters, review accuracy, and report deviations to contribute to corrective measures.
- Team Support: Provide support and backup for other planners in the Integrated planning & supply team.
- Performance Improvement: Proactively offer alternatives for missed sales orders, and present measures to improve performance.
- Communication: Communicate proactively with all stakeholders in case of order postponement.
- Lean Events: Participate in Lean events organized in the plant.
- Education: Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or Business-related field.
- Experience: 3+ years of relevant experience in Business Expert, Production Supervisor, or Supply Chain roles.
- Skills: Good communication skills, deep knowledge of SAP, and experience with S&OP.
- Language: Good English level (B2/C1).
- Additional Qualifications: Lean Six Sigma/Kanban certification is a plus.
