We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Production Coordinator to join our team at Lamppost and contribute to the success of our visual effects projects.


About the Job

The VFX Production Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production teams. This position requires effective project management skills, excellent communication, and a high level of organization. We are looking for a clear communicator who can work collaboratively with our cross-functional teams, including VFX Producers, VFX Supervisors, and artists.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Schedule and prioritize internal technical assignments and project details, ensuring timely completion and delivery.
  2. Organize and coordinate dailies, rounds, and project meetings, setting up rooms and media as needed.
  3. Monitor Shotgrid statuses and task assignments, ensuring project scope is maintained and updated daily.
  4. Coordinate and package shot deliveries, including submission documentation.
  5. Ensure team members are aware of daily deliverables and manage the calendar effectively.
  6. Record notes from clients, dailies, and rounds, and communicate team updates and priorities.
  7. Coordinate and monitor multiple projects simultaneously.
  8. Prepare documentation and reports, tracking tasks and managed projects.
  9. Communicate schedule changes to supervisors and producers.
  10. Follow up on approved and completed work, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to specifications.
  11. Establish quality control and project closure processes.

Requirements
  1. Minimum of two to five years of experience in the visual effects or film production industry.
  2. Highly organized with excellent scheduling and task management skills.
  3. Proven project management experience with the ability to problem-solve effectively in a fast-changing environment.
  4. Ability to liaise and collaborate with clients, artists, and producers.
  5. Experience in visual effects processes, including asset development, layout, matte painting, animation, FX, lighting, and compositing.
  6. Working experience with Shotgun (project management software) is a must.
  7. Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of MS Office packages (Word and Excel).
  8. Knowledge of Nuke and other 2D/3D packages is considered an asset.
