About the Job
The VFX Production Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production teams. This position requires effective project management skills, excellent communication, and a high level of organization. We are looking for a clear communicator who can work collaboratively with our cross-functional teams, including VFX Producers, VFX Supervisors, and artists.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule and prioritize internal technical assignments and project details, ensuring timely completion and delivery.
- Organize and coordinate dailies, rounds, and project meetings, setting up rooms and media as needed.
- Monitor Shotgrid statuses and task assignments, ensuring project scope is maintained and updated daily.
- Coordinate and package shot deliveries, including submission documentation.
- Ensure team members are aware of daily deliverables and manage the calendar effectively.
- Record notes from clients, dailies, and rounds, and communicate team updates and priorities.
- Coordinate and monitor multiple projects simultaneously.
- Prepare documentation and reports, tracking tasks and managed projects.
- Communicate schedule changes to supervisors and producers.
- Follow up on approved and completed work, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to specifications.
- Establish quality control and project closure processes.
Requirements
- Minimum of two to five years of experience in the visual effects or film production industry.
- Highly organized with excellent scheduling and task management skills.
- Proven project management experience with the ability to problem-solve effectively in a fast-changing environment.
- Ability to liaise and collaborate with clients, artists, and producers.
- Experience in visual effects processes, including asset development, layout, matte painting, animation, FX, lighting, and compositing.
- Working experience with Shotgun (project management software) is a must.
- Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of MS Office packages (Word and Excel).
- Knowledge of Nuke and other 2D/3D packages is considered an asset.
