Position Overview: We are seeking a strategic expert in community management and operations to bolster Reddit's presence in Spain. As a pivotal member of the International Community team, you will contribute significantly to our mission of fostering community and belonging globally.

Your Role: As the Community Operations Specialist for Spain, you will play a crucial role in initiating and nurturing local communities. Your fluency in Spanish and deep understanding of Spanish-speaking cultures will empower you to lead initiatives that connect with local volunteer moderators. The insights you gather and the programs you implement will be vital in refining our international consumer strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a representative for local volunteer moderators, building trust and facilitating engagement while resolving conflicts.
  • Recruit, educate, and develop a local network of moderators, content creators, and influencers.
  • Acquire in-depth market knowledge to identify user and moderator challenges, competitive landscape, and growth opportunities.
  • Innovate and enhance the consumer growth strategy by identifying new opportunities and persuading internal teams to align with fresh initiatives.
  • Deliver quantitative and qualitative insights to optimize the international consumer growth framework.
  • Identify effective channels for discovering new communities and enhancing engagement within existing ones.
  • Maintain a strong focus on achieving ambitious goals and outcomes.
  • Analyze data, create reports, and set KPIs to execute impactful community initiatives.
  • Collaborate across various departments including Product, Community, Engineering, Marketing, Safety, and Business Development.

What We Expect From You:

  • Experience in operations management, community operations, or a technology-related field.
  • A balanced skill set in operations, growth strategies, project management, and community engagement.
  • Thorough understanding of Spanish culture, including current events, traditions, and societal interests.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to assess performance and financial viability, including proficiency in Excel and familiarity with SQL.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across various teams and engage with local users and moderators.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on results and execution.
  • Passion for developing and leading independent projects, testing ideas, and improving processes.
  • Fluency in both Spanish and English, with residency in Spain.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in engineering, product management, or a related technical field.
  • Proficiency in SQL.
