About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled GenAI Business Development Manager to lead our GenAI strategy in Latin America. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for identifying and engaging with founders and leaders of GenAI startups, developing and executing business agreements, and collaborating with colleagues across the global Startup Business Development, Marketing and Sales teams.

Key Responsibilities
  1. GenAI Strategy Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive GenAI strategy for Latin America, identifying opportunities and challenges, and mapping them onto Amazon's assets and capabilities.
  2. Startup Engagement: Engage with founders and leaders of GenAI startups, understanding their technical and commercial challenges, and mobilizing Amazon's assets to support them.
  3. Relationship Development: Develop and maintain relationships with key influencers in the startup ecosystem, including venture funds, accelerators, and university labs and programs.
  4. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with colleagues across the global Startup Business Development, Marketing and Sales teams to better serve the needs of customers leveraging GenAI technologies.
  5. Thought Leadership: Produce GenAI thought leadership and technical-leaning content, workshops, and events for the startup ecosystem, serving as a technical evangelist and GenAI subject matter expert within AWS and externally.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
  • 7+ years of professional or military experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience as a founder or executive focused on related segments, or as a practice leader or business unit owner
  • Experience selling to Fortune 1000 or Global 2000 organizations
