Lead the GenAI Strategy for AWS Startups in Latin America

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced GenAI Business Development Manager to lead our GenAI strategy for AWS Startups in Latin America. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for identifying and engaging with founders and leaders of newly founded and venture-backed GenAI startups, mapping their technical and commercial challenges and opportunities, and mobilizing Amazon assets to work on their behalf.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and engage with GenAI startup founders and leaders to understand their technical and commercial challenges and opportunities
  • Map these needs onto Amazon assets that can potentially help, and mobilize those assets to work on behalf of these startup customers
  • Act as the voice of the startup customer, discovering, capturing, and reporting back patterns and learnings from the field about opportunities related to GenAI
  • Develop and hold relationships with key influencers in the startup ecosystem focused on GenAI, including venture funds, accelerators, university labs and programs

This is an individual contributor role that will interact with the startup team, comprised of startup founders/operators who champion and work alongside the world's best startups and investors in ML, artificial intelligence (AI), and data science. We do what is in our power to accelerate their engineering and commercial efforts from inception to IPO, leveraging our people, technology, knowledge, programs, and relationships within and outside Amazon.

The ideal candidate will possess both a business background and deep GenAI technical expertise that enables them to drive engagements and interact with founders and general partners, as well as sufficient technical knowledge that enables them to comfortably and effectively interact with CTOs, software developers, and architects. This individual will have the exciting opportunity to create and deliver a startup strategy, which includes working one-on-one with startups, launching scalable programs, and being a key member within the ML ecosystem.

We are looking for a teammate who can think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions and work cross-organizationally to build consensus. You'll be expected to execute in the face of ambiguity, shifting priorities, and limited resources. Competency in cloud computing will be required for ongoing success – as is a keen sense of ownership, curiosity, scrappiness, and drive.
