About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team at Ace Handyman Services Southern Maine. As a key member of our purchasing department, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and coordinating purchasing activities and processes for civil, electrical, and other building services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish requests for quotations (RFQs) and negotiate contracts with suppliers for civil and electrical construction services, as well as other services related to wind turbine configuration.
  • Develop and maintain a network of specialized suppliers and manage purchasing frameworks and strategies to ensure the best possible outcomes for our projects.
  • Manage records of acquisitions, including items or services quoted, purchased, and costs, to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Provide cost estimates for projects in the sales phase, taking into account various factors such as commercial and operational terms.
  • Review bid proposals and negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure that our company and project objectives are met.
  • Implement and improve process standards at a global level to facilitate day-to-day activities and ensure efficiency.
  • Report on achievements and challenges on a regular basis to ensure transparency and accountability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering (civil and/or electrical).
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in procurement and/or supplier negotiations, preferably in the civil or renewable energy sector.
  • High level of English proficiency (minimum C1) and international experience.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Experience in identifying and assessing commercial contractual risks, developing strategies for risk prevention/control.
  • Autonomous and flexible, with a can-do attitude.
  • Intercultural understanding and experience working with different cultures.
