We are seeking a highly skilled Business Control Partner to join our Business Control Office Team at ING. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Wholesale & Retail ING Bank Spain and Portugal units from the first line of defense in controlling their environment effectively and efficiently.
The Business Control Partner will be responsible for advocating, advising, supporting, coordinating, and following up on the design, implementation, and assurance of controls to meet regulation and policy requirements risk-based, by business owners. This will involve coordinating the definition and execution of Test Monitoring Plans for key controls, identifying opportunities for digitalization and optimization of processes and tasks, and preparing reports as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Advocacy and Advisory Role: Provide guidance and support to business owners on the design, implementation, and assurance of controls to meet regulation and policy requirements.
- Test Monitoring Plans: Coordinate the definition and execution of Test Monitoring Plans for key controls, including Test of Design (TOD) and Test of Operating Effectiveness (TOE).
- Digitalization and Optimization: Identify opportunities for digitalization and optimization of processes and tasks, and follow up on actions to implement these changes.
- Reporting: Prepare reports as needed to support the business and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Coordination and Communication: Coordinate and agree with 1LoD business management and 2LoD as needed to meet the above activities.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in risk management and compliance, with a degree in law and/or business administration or similar. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in risks or audit, with a strong analytical and data-driven mindset. Additionally, the candidate should have knowledge of European and Spanish Law on marketing, banking products, services, and processes, as well as a high level of English proficiency.
The successful candidate will have a 'what-if' and 'can-do' attitude, with the ability to work with ING professionals from diverse backgrounds and expertise in an international environment. Strong influence and communication skills are also essential for this role.
