Restaurant Manager Job Description

Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid is seeking a highly skilled Restaurant Manager to lead our Palm Court team. As a key member of our hotel management team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences and driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and motivate the Palm Court Management Team to achieve departmental goals and exceed guest expectations.
  • Provide strategic direction and support to all outlet colleagues, ensuring seamless service delivery during operation hours.
  • Handle guest complaints and take prompt action to resolve issues.
  • Monitor key performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement effective solutions to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Manage financial resources, contribute to budget planning, and ensure responsible financial management.
  • Conduct regular departmental meetings and stay up-to-date with market trends, competitor analysis, and new ideas.
  • Ensure effective reservation management and seating capacity optimization.
  • Maintain the highest standards of service, cleanliness, and profitability.
  • Train, supervise, and schedule staff, implement new menus and promotions, and promote the company's values and reputation.
Requirements:
  • Degree or Higher National Diploma in Hospitality/Hotel/Business Management is preferred.
  • Experience as a Manager in a high-volume restaurant with exceptional service standards is preferred.
  • Excellent leadership and personnel management skills.
  • Ability to understand guest needs and deliver superior customer service.
  • Good planning, recruitment, and interviewing skills for new colleagues.
  • Good financial acumen and high computer skills, including MS Office.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse individuals and maintain attention to detail.
  • Service-oriented team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a good command of Spanish and English.
