Role Overview

The Technical Support Engineer will serve as the primary technical authority for specific Acronis products and services. This role involves resolving customer technical issues through personal expertise and collaboration with our Engineering teams. You will be responsible for crafting solutions, submitting bug reports, and coordinating complex tasks across various departments, ensuring complete customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Efficiently troubleshoot technical issues across diverse software, networking, and hardware environments.
  • Conduct thorough technical analyses of customer problems and devise actionable plans for resolution.
  • Engage directly with product and engineering teams to enhance service delivery.
  • Mentor junior staff by providing technical guidance and reviewing their work.
  • Develop Knowledge Base articles, best practice guides, and other relevant documentation.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken (Upper Intermediate level minimum).
  • Ability to articulate complex technical issues clearly.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills with a customer-centric approach, capable of managing multiple time-sensitive issues.
  • Proficient in network troubleshooting, including tools like Wireshark and tcpdump, and experience with services such as DHCP and DNS.
  • Familiarity with Windows and Linux administration is preferred.
  • Experience in virtualization and business applications (e.g., MS Exchange, MySQL) is a plus.
  • A passion for problem-solving and the ability to devise effective solutions for unique challenges.
  • High attention to detail, discipline, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills, with a positive team-oriented attitude.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, capable of working independently.
