The IJC offers an excellent work environment based on a multidisciplinary fusion of state-of-the-art ideas and facilities.Research DescriptionSHP2 inhibition has emerged as a promising therapeutic strategy, leading to the development of allosteric SHP2 inhibitors that have shown encouraging results in ongoing clinical trials.
However, a significant drawback of these molecules is their inability to inhibit SHP2 mutant forms, such as those found in hematologic malignancies and, less frequently, in some solid tumors.In this context, our lab has identified six novel compounds that exhibit efficient inhibitory effects on both wild type and mutant SHP2.
The main goal of this project is to conduct a comprehensive preclinical evaluation of the therapeutic potential of these new SHP2 inhibitors by studying their spectrum of action, physicochemical properties, pharmacokinetics, and therapeutic effects on hematologic and solid tumors.Main ResponsibilitiesThe candidate will perform tasks for the development of experimental therapeutics research.
These tasks will include:Implementation of experimental methods in molecular biology and biochemistryExecution of in vitro assays using both established cell lines and primary cellsUse of specialized analytical systems such as flow cytometryDesign and execution of in vivo mouse experimentsHandling laboratory management dutiesYour ProfileMust have:At least three years of experience as a lab technician performing molecular biology and biochemistry techniques, and laboratory management dutiesExperience in the use of flow cytometryFELASA accreditation for animal experimentation and at least three years of experience working with mice as experimental models (mandatory)Fluent in spoken EnglishOther requirements:Ability to work collaboratively with others on research projectsPrevious experience in leukemia research will be positively evaluatedWhy Us?Join a young, collaborative, and international work environment with cutting-edge technologies and interdisciplinary teams of scientists, including experts in medicine, immunology, genomics, and bioinformatics.
