MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship - 2024/108
Qualifications and Experience:
The ideal candidate must meet the eligibility criteria established for the MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships:
- Possession of a doctoral degree is required. Candidates should have a maximum of 8 years of full-time equivalent research experience from the date of obtaining their doctoral degree, validated by appropriate documentation.
- Open to candidates of any nationality.
- Mobility requirement: Candidates must not have resided or conducted their primary activities in the host organization’s country for more than 12 months in the 3 years preceding the deadline.
- Candidates wishing to reintegrate from a third country must either be based in a third country at the time of application or have moved directly from a third country to an EU Member State or Horizon Europe Associated Country within the last 12 months.
- Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is essential.
- A strong record of research achievements and publications is highly desirable.
Specific Technical Experience:
- Ph.D. in life sciences, computer science, or a related field.
- A solid academic foundation in life sciences, oncology, immunology, or a comparable discipline.
- Previous experience in data analysis is advantageous.
- A passion for translational research is expected.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities are required.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills are necessary.
- Demonstrated scientific productivity will be highly regarded.
Main Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will engage in research focused on immuno-oncology in ovarian cancer. Responsibilities include:
- Developing new software and utilizing advanced structural bioinformatics tools to analyze spatial transcriptomics data.
- Integrating software solutions and leveraging available experimental data alongside machine learning techniques.
- Contributing to drug design initiatives and supporting experimental biomedical research.
- Acting as a liaison with ongoing collaborations with local experts in computer science.
- Participating in the research process and the publication journey, as well as contributing to the formulation of research strategies and new directions.
