We are seeking a highly qualified candidate for a Postdoctoral Fellowship in the field of immuno-oncology, specifically focusing on ovarian cancer research.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
The ideal candidate must meet the eligibility criteria for the MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships as outlined in the relevant call:
- Possession of a doctoral degree is required. Candidates should have a maximum of 8 years of full-time equivalent research experience, calculated from the date of obtaining their doctoral degree.
- Open to candidates of any nationality.
- The candidate must have resided outside the host organization’s country for more than 12 months in the last 3 years.
- Researchers returning from a third country must either be based in a third country at the time of application or have moved directly from a third country to an EU Member State or Horizon Europe Associated Country within the last 12 months.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is essential.
- A strong record of research achievements and publications is highly desirable.
Specific Technical Expertise:
- A Ph.D. in life sciences, computer science, or a related field is required.
- A solid academic foundation in life sciences, oncology, immunology, or a similar discipline.
- Previous experience in data analysis is necessary.
- A passion for translational research is expected.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills are crucial.
- Demonstrated scientific productivity will be highly regarded.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
The selected candidate will engage in research on immuno-oncology related to ovarian cancer. Responsibilities include:
- Developing new software and utilizing advanced structural bioinformatics tools to analyze spatial transcriptomics data.
- Integrating software solutions and leveraging available experimental data alongside machine learning methodologies.
- Contributing to drug design and supporting experimental biomedical research.
- Collaborating with local experts in computer science on ongoing projects.
- Participating in the research and publication processes, as well as contributing to the formulation of research strategies and directions.
