MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship - Reference: 2024/108
Qualifications and Experience:
The ideal candidate must meet the eligibility criteria outlined for the MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships:
- Possession of a doctoral degree is mandatory.
- Researchers should have a maximum of 8 years of full-time equivalent research experience from the date of obtaining their doctoral degree.
- Open to candidates of any nationality.
- Mobility requirement: Candidates must not have resided or conducted their primary activities in the host organization's country for more than 12 months in the last 3 years.
- For those reintegrating from a third country, candidates must either be based in a third country at the application deadline or have moved directly from a third country to an EU Member State or Horizon Europe Associated Country within the last 12 months.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential.
- Demonstrated excellence in research achievements and publications is preferred.
Specific Technical Experience:
- Ph.D. in life sciences, computer science, or a related field.
- Strong academic foundation in life sciences, oncology, immunology, or similar disciplines.
- Prior experience in data analysis is required.
- A passion for translational research is essential.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary.
- Strong communication and teamwork capabilities are crucial.
- Scientific productivity will be highly regarded.
Main Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will engage in research focused on immuno-oncology in ovarian cancer. Responsibilities include:
- Developing innovative software and utilizing advanced structural bioinformatics tools to analyze spatial transcriptomics data.
- Integrating software solutions and leveraging available experimental data alongside machine learning techniques.
- Contributing to drug design and supporting experimental biomedical research.
- Collaborating with local experts in computer science through ongoing partnerships.
- Participating in the research process and publication efforts, as well as shaping research strategies and exploring new directions.
