As a Group Sales Manager, you will play a key role in driving the resort’s commercial success by identifying, developing, and securing group business opportunities that contribute to revenue growth and position The Ritz-Carlton Tenerife, Abama as a premier luxury and MICE destination.

Your Responsibilities Will Include…
  • Identifying, developing, and managing business opportunities for group accommodation, meetings, incentives, conferences, and special events.
  • Developing and implementing sales strategies aimed at maximizing revenue and market share within the group segment.
  • Managing the entire sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation through negotiation, contract signing, and post-sale follow-up.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, event planners, travel agencies, destination management companies, and key accounts.
  • Preparing customized proposals, contracts, and presentations tailored to each client’s specific requirements.
  • Conducting site inspections, hotel presentations, and sales appointments to showcase the resort’s facilities and services.
  • Monitoring market trends, competitor activity, and emerging business opportunities to enhance sales performance.
  • Working closely with Revenue Management teams to optimize pricing, availability, and profitability for group business.
  • Collaborating with Events, Operations, and Catering teams to ensure seamless execution of contracted programs and events.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client, pipeline, and contract information within Marriott’s sales systems.
  • Representing the resort at trade shows, sales missions, industry events, roadshows, and networking opportunities.
  • Preparing sales reports, forecasts, and performance analyses for leadership teams.
  • Ensuring compliance with Marriott International sales standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Contributing actively to the achievement and surpassing of revenue and production goals established by the resort.
What We Are Looking For In You…
  • Previous experience in hotel sales, group sales, MICE, events, hospitality business development, or a similar commercial role.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • A customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering tailored solutions and exceptional experiences.
  • A proactive, organized, and results-oriented approach to achieving business objectives.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market trends, sales reports, and business opportunities.
  • Confidence working in international and multicultural environments.
  • Experience using CRM platforms, hotel sales systems, and business development tools.
  • Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with multiple departments.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English; additional languages will be considered a strong advantage.
  • Flexibility to travel and attend business events, trade fairs, and client meetings when required.
  • A valid work permit for Spain.
