Senior Director, Business Development – Functional Service Provider (FSP) – Europe (Remote) Are you an experienced Business Development leader with a strong commercial mindset and a passion for building strategic partnerships in the pharma and biotech space? We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Senior Director, Business Development – Functional Service Provider (FSP) to join a global life sciences organisation during an exciting phase of expansion. In this newly created, high‑profile role, you will spearhead commercial growth for a specialist FSP division, supporting clients with expert biostatistics, biomarker, imaging, clinical operations, and therapeutic area talent. Why this role: This organisation has a global presence and a rapidly growing FSP model, supplying highly specialised scientific and operational experts to major pharmaceutical and biotech sponsors. With a strong track record supporting large‑scale partnerships—including embedded teams of 80+ FTEs inside a leading global biotech—this is an opportunity to join a trusted provider with deep functional expertise. As Senior Director, you will be the first dedicated commercial leader focused exclusively on FSP growth in Europe. This role offers exceptional visibility, autonomy, and the ability to influence both regional and global strategy. You will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams and help shape how specialist services are positioned and delivered to the market. Key responsibilities Identify, develop, and close new FSP opportunities with pharmaceutical and biotech clients Build long‑term partnerships with senior stakeholders in biometrics, clinical operations, and therapeutic‑area leadership Promote expert consulting and functional resourcing solutions across biostatistics, imaging, biomarkers, and clinical functions Understand client resourcing needs and deliver tailored proposals and solutions Maintain an active pipeline and provide accurate forecasts Collaborate cross‑functionally with global commercial and delivery teams to support seamless onboarding and project success What’s in it for you?
