Role Overview The company is seeking a senior, highly established Business Development leader to drive growth across Europe, with a primary focus on Quality Assurance and Compliance services within the life sciences sector. This is a creation and leadership‑track role, designed for a seasoned BD professional with strong market credibility, a proven sales record, and direct exposure to QA services (or closely aligned areas such as CMC, CSV, CQV, or clinical quality). The successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping regional commercial strategy, building a robust sales pipeline, expanding existing client relationships, and driving cross‑selling across the company’s broader service portfolio. Over time, this individual is expected to assume greater leadership responsibility, potentially taking on a lead role within the region as the business scales. Key Responsibilities Drive new business growth and profitability through acquisition of new clients and expansion of existing accounts across Europe. Build and maintain long‑term, senior‑level client relationships, positioning the company as a trusted strategic partner. Lead end‑to‑end sales processes, from lead generation and qualification through proposal development, negotiation, and deal close. Develop a strong pipeline with a particular emphasis on Quality Assurance and Compliance services, while identifying cross‑selling opportunities across the wider organization. Identify market opportunities, client needs, and emerging trends to inform regional sales strategy. Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to increase visibility and generate opportunities. Collaborate closely with delivery teams, subject matter experts, and marketing to develop tailored proposals and client solutions. Initiate and manage pre‑sales activities, including NDAs/CDAs, MSAs, SOWs, and client capability presentations. Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, proposals, and sales activity within the CRM system. Provide regular reporting, forecasting, and insights on pipeline performance. Support regional leadership in shaping future team structure, commercial strategy, and growth initiatives. Participate in regular business development and stakeholder meetings. Required Experience & Background 10+ years of successful business development experience within the life sciences sector, supported by measurable sales results. Direct experience selling Quality Assurance / Compliance services; exposure to CMC, CSV, CQV, or clinical quality is highly desirable. Demonstrated experience selling across multiple EU markets, not limited to a single country. Proven ability to win complex consulting engagements and grow strategic accounts. Experience operating within an international, matrixed organization. Strategic, consultative sales approach with strong commercial judgment. Highly personable, positive, and credible communicator able to engage senior stakeholders. Confident presenter with strong negotiation and influencing skills. Self‑starter with high ambition, resilience, and adaptability in a growth‑oriented environment. Strong time management, prioritization, and analytical capabilities. Team‑oriented mindset with clear leadership potential and mentoring capability. Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building new structures and processes. Education Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required.
