The Opportunity

This position works out of our location in the Diabetes division. We're focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions. We're revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology.

Job Responsibilities

As a District Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the generation of new business, as well as for the maintenance of existing business, growing sales in a particular area of the country, following strictly, throughout the moment, the code of ethics in force and under the company values. You will manage the people under your responsibility as a coach in an ethical way with the objective of working towards excellence and supervising and mentoring staff, proactively supporting their professional development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensures that all activities are performed in compliance with quality system requirements.
  • Sales planning and follow up (establishes yearly territory sales plans, implements sales strategies).
  • Coach the people under their responsibility doing dual visits in the field according to the instructions given by the company.
  • Support the sales representatives in maintaining and expanding customers, collect information on competitors' sales, prices, benefits, and products, implementing market strategies.
  • Responsible for keeping updated the segmentation and targeting customer file of the district.
  • Empower and favor their work and that of their team with other departments of the company.
  • Be an effective bidirectional communication channel ensuring that the company's strategy and instructions are understood by its team and by collecting/communicating to the management doubts and concerns that cannot be resolved.
  • Maintain good customer relationships and visit especially key customers on a regular basis.
  • Initiate and run meetings with the Sales Force.
  • Have full people management responsibility for all district sales staff (defines department objectives, responsibilities of staff, team and personal goals; gives honest feedback to staff regarding their performance).

Requirements

University Degree in Science or High School Degree with at least 5 years of experience.

Comprehensive knowledge of diabetes and its treatment.

People management/leadership coaching skills.

Good PC knowledge and good written and oral English skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of the market (scientific background and use of the products) and the various laboratories.

Knowledge of products.

Knowledge and application of procedures, policies, and code of business conduct.
