Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at SLS Barcelona. As a key member of our pre-opening team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department and ensuring that our high standards of cleanliness and service are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Departmental Leadership: Supervise and manage a team of housekeeping staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that all departmental service standards and sequences of service are upheld.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other departments, including Front Office and Engineering, to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Guest Satisfaction: Ensure that all guests receive exceptional service and that any issues or concerns are addressed promptly and professionally.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels and manage costs to ensure that we are operating efficiently and effectively.
  • Staff Development: Support the development of our housekeeping staff, providing training and coaching to help them improve their skills and performance.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections to ensure that all public areas, guest rooms, and equipment are clean and in good repair.
  • Complaint Resolution: Handle guest complaints and special requests in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Deep Cleaning and Special Projects: Assist with deep cleaning projects and provide support to the housekeeping team during high-volume periods.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of housekeeping experience, preferably in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel.
  • Pre-Opening Experience: Previous experience with pre-opening of a hotel is highly desirable.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with a high level of energy and motivation.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with fluency in Spanish and English.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, and make effective decisions.
