Assistant Housekeeping Manager

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Housekeeping Manager to join our pre-opening team at SLS Barcelona. As a key member of our housekeeping department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations and ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Housekeeping Manager in managing the department's daily operations, including supervising staff and third-party companies.
  • Control and manage the department's budget and financial performance.
  • Ensure all departmental service standards and sequences of service are upheld.
  • Collaborate with the Front Office and Engineering Team to ensure seamless operations.
  • Address guest issues and provide prompt correspondence as needed.
  • Manage inventory levels and costs per room for supplies.
  • Support in managing day-to-day staffing requirements.
  • Plan, assign work, and establish performance and development goals for employees.
  • Provide mentoring, coaching, and regular feedback to employees.
  • Supervise laundry operations and ensure public areas, guest rooms/suites, equipment, and linens are clean and in good repair.
  • Support in handling complaints and special requests from guests, VIPs, and repeat visitors.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years of housekeeping experience, preferably in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel.
  • Previous experience with pre-opening of a hotel is a plus.
  • Proven team leader with a high level of energy and motivation.
  • Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and have a high-level attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English.
