Assistant Housekeeping Manager

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Housekeeping Manager to join our pre-opening team at SLS Barcelona.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Housekeeping Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department, including third-party companies.
  • Manage the department's budget and ensure timely financial closures.
  • Ensure all service standards and sequences are upheld, maintaining a high level of guest satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with housekeeping partners, Front Office, and Engineering teams to achieve seamless operations.
  • Monitor inventory levels, manage costs, and maintain proper supply levels.
  • Support staffing requirements, plan work assignments, and establish performance goals for employees.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and regular feedback to employees to improve performance and address conflicts.
  • Inspect public areas, guest rooms, and equipment to ensure cleanliness and maintenance.
  • Supervise laundry operations and handle guest complaints and special requests.
  • Ensure staff is properly trained and equipped to perform their duties.
  • Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other department managers.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of housekeeping experience in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel.
  • Previous experience with pre-opening hotel operations is a plus.
  • Proven team leader with high energy, motivation, and ability to inspire others.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, fluent in Spanish and English.
