Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Housekeeping Manager to join our pre-opening team at SLS Barcelona. As a key member of our housekeeping department, you will be responsible for supervising the overall operation of the housekeeping team.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist the Housekeeping Manager in daily operations and department management, including third-party companies.
- Control budget and monthly financial closure of department costs.
- Ensure all departmental service standards and sequences of service are being upheld.
- Collaborate with housekeeping partners on a day-to-day basis.
- Maintain a close relationship with the Front Office and Engineering Team.
- Address guest issues and provide prompt correspondence if necessary.
- Manage inventory levels and cost per room for supplies.
- Support in managing day-to-day staffing requirements.
- Plan, assign work, and establish performance and development goals for employees.
- Provide mentoring, coaching, and regular feedback to employees.
- Supervise laundry operations and ensure public areas, guest rooms/suites, equipment, and linens are clean and in good repair.

Requirements

- Minimum of 3 years of housekeeping experience, preferably in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel.
- Previous experience with pre-opening of a hotel is a plus.
- Proven team leader with a high level of energy and motivation.
- Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and have a high level of attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Fluency in Spanish and English.
