Business Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Manager to lead and oversee the work of employees in our office in Madrid. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency of business operations and driving success in our international VAT and tax and accounting services for e-commerce businesses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and oversee the execution of AVASK ES operations in collaboration with Head Office and Studio Carrera.
  • Ensure agreed procedures are documented for all activities and adhered to in accordance with the AVASK Group OMS.
  • Maintain client service levels and monitor overall performance of AVASK ES, reporting back to Operations in Head Office.
  • Handle HR matters in liaison with the Head Office HR and Recruitment team.
  • Ensure the company has adequate and suitable resources to complete its activities.
  • Organise and coordinate operations to ensure maximum productivity.
  • Supervise the work of employees and provide feedback and counsel to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Maintain relationships with partners/vendors/suppliers.
  • Gather, analyse and interpret external and internal data and write reports.
  • Assess overall company performance against objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to legal rules and guidelines.
  • Ensure premises are properly maintained and cleaned, and adequate fire prevention and security systems are in place.
  • Manage the procurement of equipment, supplies and services within target budgets.
  • Arrange appropriate maintenance for office equipment.
  • Monitor client satisfaction, record, investigate and respond to complaints.
  • Highlight opportunities for improvement and risks.
  • Assist with the internal auditing of systems and processes.
Requirements:
  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent.
  • BSc/BA in Business Management or relevant field.
  • Proven experience as a Business Manager or relevant role.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English.
  • Experience in ISO 9001 management systems is an advantage.
  • Adept in the use of CRM/other business systems.
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, databases, and information systems.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
