Job Overview
Are you passionate about technology and eager to develop your skills in a global setting? Ecolab is seeking an IT Support Trainee to join our dedicated IT team, playing a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our technological infrastructure. This position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with IT and Global support teams on various projects aimed at enhancing our internal services.

Position Responsibilities
As an IT Support Trainee at Ecolab, you will be based in our office and will engage in a variety of tasks that contribute to our operational success. Our IT teams utilize cutting-edge technologies across multiple sectors, including customer engagement, user computing, enterprise resource management, cybersecurity, and data analytics, working closely with our business units to achieve impactful results.

Key Duties Include:

Providing assistance to IT users under direct supervision. Utilizing basic analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, while also conducting root cause analysis. Offering remote support using specialized software to assist users across different locations. Engaging with IT users regularly, applying excellent customer service and communication skills. Collaborating with other support teams on IT-related projects and initiatives. Coordinating with partners and vendors for user support, including managing incidents with hardware maintenance providers. Adhering to ITIL processes to ensure efficient incident management and accurate system logging.

Additional Responsibilities

Conducting basic incident and problem analysis to address requests effectively. Managing hardware and software change requests as assigned. Providing implementation support as needed. Participating in user meetings to offer local assistance. Acting as a local IT resource to maintain high service availability for regional infrastructure.

Required Qualifications

A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proficient in English (both verbal and written); knowledge of Spanish or Italian is advantageous. Familiarity with MS Office 365 and Windows 11. Ability to work independently and professionally in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving abilities and interpersonal skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. A dependable team player with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Technical Skills

Experience with local client configurations, including SMS and SAP GUI. Knowledge of VPN and remote access connectivity setup and maintenance. Support experience with Android mobile devices. Familiarity with remote support software such as GoToAssist or Bomgar.
