About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Technical SEO to lead our technical SEO efforts and drive business growth through search engine optimization. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing technical SEO strategies that align with our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and Execute Technical SEO Strategies
    • Design and implement technical SEO plans to improve website performance, increase search engine rankings, and drive organic traffic.
    • Conduct thorough technical SEO audits to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address them.
  • Monitor and Improve Key Technical SEO Metrics
    • Track and analyze key technical SEO metrics, such as Core Web Vitals, site health, mobile friendliness, and crawl budget.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve these metrics and ensure compliance with Google's Page Experience requirements.
  • Lead Technical SEO Initiatives
    • Oversee the development and implementation of technical SEO initiatives, including website migrations, IL8N strategies, and JavaScript SEO.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure technical SEO best practices are integrated into product development and deployment.
  • Manage Technical SEO Tools and Processes
    • Manage and maintain technical SEO tools, such as Lumar/DeepCrawl/Botify, Screaming Frog SEO Spider, AHREFs/SEMRush, and Google Search Console.
    • Develop and implement processes to ensure technical SEO data is accurately tracked and reported.

Requirements

  • Advanced Technical SEO Knowledge
    • Deep understanding of website crawling, especially for dynamic sites with over 1 million pages.
    • Proficiency with log file analysis tools to optimize search engine interactions.
  • Business Acumen
    • Ability to translate technical SEO requirements into business-friendly language.
    • Understanding of business objectives and ability to develop technical SEO strategies that align with them.
  • Leadership and Collaboration
    • Experience leading technical SEO teams and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
    • Ability to communicate technical SEO concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Tools and Experience

  • Expertise with technical SEO tools, such as Lumar/DeepCrawl/Botify, Screaming Frog SEO Spider, AHREFs/SEMRush, and Google Search Console.
  • Experience building and training technical SEO teams.
  • Establishing best practices within a technical SEO team.
  • Managing the entire product development lifecycle from ideation to post-production review.
  • Collaborating with Product teams to create SEO-friendly solutions.
