About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Content Manager to join our team at Smallpdf. As a pioneer in the PDF industry, we are looking for a skilled content strategist to help us build a strong developer ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a content strategy specifically designed for developers and decide on the most effective distribution channels.
  • Create high-quality, engaging content such as tutorials, blog posts, screencasts, webinars, and more that resonate with developers.
  • Actively manage and nurture developer communities across platforms such as StackOverflow, GitHub, and Discord.
  • Optimize our content performance through link building, content syndication, and improving critical on-page elements.
  • Work closely with web developers to implement SEO enhancements and optimize the site for better engagement with our audiences.
  • Conduct regular site and content audits using tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, and Ahrefs.
  • Monitor and analyze content performance, staying up-to-date with market trends to make Smallpdf a leading voice in the market.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in a content marketing role for a company that markets developer products, or have a developer/engineering background.
  • Track record of content production by yourself (Having managed and instructed agencies/freelancers is a plus).
  • Strong understanding of the developer ecosystems and familiarity with platforms such as Discord, GitHub, and StackOverflow.
  • Exceptional organizational and detail-oriented skills.
  • Superior written and oral communication capabilities that show an understanding of how technical audiences are effectively marketed to.
  • Hands-on experience with SEO principles and implementation of backlinks.
  • Proficiency with platforms such as Google Analytics, Hubspot, and Ahrefs.
  • Skills in crafting SEO-friendly content, whitepapers, or webinars.
